Chocolate Lava Cake (Molten Center)
Ingredients:
- 100g dark chocolate
- 100g butter
- 2 whole eggs
- 2 egg yolks
- 80g sugar
- 40g all-purpose flour
- Pinch of salt
- 1 tsp vanilla (optional)
Instructions:
Melt the chocolate:
- Use a double boiler or microwave.
- Mix the chocolate + butter until smooth.
Prepare the batter:
- Whisk eggs, egg yolks, and sugar until light.
- Add the melted chocolate mixture.
- Add flour, salt, and vanilla.
- Mix gently (don’t overmix)
Bake:
- Grease ramekins with butter + dust with flour
- Pour in the batter
Bake in preheated oven:
- 200°C (392°F)
- 8–10 minutes only
The center should stay soft and gooey
Serve:
- Let it rest 1 minute.
- Flip onto a plate
- Dust with powdered sugar
